Charity Crab Feed for One Safe Place

The annual Crab Feed is a Charity for the local women’s refuge, One Safe Place. I’ve posted here about this iconic event at least once before, 12 years ago, seen here.

These images are from 2023, and are from the after-party dance. Lots of line dancing and good time. The photos here were taken by my daughter Erin.

Looks like a good time was had by all. Hopefully a lot of money raised for the women’s shelter, One Safe Place. Unfortunately, even 12 years later the refuge facility is just as necessary as ever.

Fireworks for the 4th in Redding 2018

We celebrate Independence Day in Redding with a big free fireworks show put on every year by the generous McConnell foundation. Here it is as I captured 4K video from a friend’s kitchen in the west hills. 20 minutes condensed to 30 seconds, or so.

If you use the YouTube controls, you can see this in full 4K video. I like how it turned out.

Personal fireworks are forbidden in Shasta County, for good reason. This place is very flammable in Summer. But this big free show really makes up for that restriction.

Fantasy Fountain at Kid’s Kingdom in Redding

Took grandson out to the Fantasy Fountain at Kid’s Kingdom located in Enterprise Park of Redding California. This was the last day of the 2016 season as they shut it down for the winter and maintenance. It was a beautiful day, and we pretty much had the run of the place.

Thank you City of Redding Parks and Recreation! We had a blast.

Aaron when he’s not busy Dancing With the Stars

Here’s a few images taken today. Aaron is seen here helping my other son in law get his new driveway ready. Aaron is somewhat more comfortable with heavy equipment than he is dancing with Monica Fisher, shall we say. Still, just 7 days till the big event. Will he be able to pull off the upset win?

Practice for Dancing With the Stars Shasta County Style 2013 – brief video

Aaron Rader of Rader Excavating is a big guy for a dance partner. Watch him learn the dance moves from Monica Fisher that he’ll need to win the competition at this year’s Dancing With the Stars Shasta County Style benefit for the Shasta Women’s Refuge.

Aaron is my son in law. Last year his wife, my daughter and Broker at The Address Realty, Erin Rader, narrowly missed winning the big dance competition prize. Aaron volunteered this year to bring home the win for the family. Obviously our community is the big winner. Help Aaron raise the money and win with your encouragement. He and Monica are working hard. Now it’s your turn!

Vanity Faire fundraiser for Shasta County Women’s Refuge

Erin attended the Vanity Faire fundraiser for 2012 on behalf of our real estate brokerage The Address Realty. Riverview Country Club is of course, an unmatched setting.
