Apparently those Cottonwood trees have been having sex again. Evidence of their reproductive zeal was scattered about this river trail in drifts and dunes.
That is all. Where are the aerodynamic Freightliners of yore? These boxy diesel engines have the grace of any industrial machinery where form follows function, but they could use a little more style. As seen in our rail town one evening recently, it’s Really Redding.

We took in dinner at Rivers and watched the lightning show from the patio. I wish I had my tripod, and some way to capture the lightning on camera. It was really spectacular. It wasn’t your typical Redding August evening view. Dinner was good too.
