Greenish bird with red topknot comes knocking

I don’t know what kind of bird this is, but it really seems to want to come inside the house.

Not getting much work done with bird tapping away. Maybe that’s okay.

  1. I’ve never seen this bird — but it looks like it might be a ruby-crowned kinglet. First thing we bought when moving to rural Shasta County was a Field Guide to Birds. Such variety here.

    Exactly, we have one in central Texas that was persistently tapping the windows of my daughters double wide home the week after it was moved to the site.
